Is my RO unit not getting enough pressure?

Not sure how much PSI I need... Only getting about 20 or so. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364150270.953891.jpg

most ro/di need to be at or above 40. is your system older or brand new? if it is just RO than i am not sure if 20 is still too low

Really it depends on how it is hooked up. Say for instance your using a saddle valve. Saddle valves inherently restrict the pressure. Even after backing the needle all the way back I could only get 40 psi on my system. So I soldered in a tee with a short extension, soldered onto that a ball valve and that got me from 40psi to 62psi and was only 10 bucks. Much cheaper then going with a pump.

Yes 20 PSI is about half of what is considered the bare minimum. Is it even producing water at that pressure? The other questions is, whats wrong with the house's bladder tank? A well water home w/bladder tank will run around 36-40 psi. City water is around 50-60 psi.

RO systems without a booster pump blow. Even with good city tap water, a booster pump will really make it a good investment.

Ive run 2 systems without a booster, and one with. I cant believe i never had a booster before now.

It's basically dripping... To fill a 32 gal Rubbermaid it's like an 18 hour ordeal... Could it also be how the cartridges / canisters are in terms of their order?

Just adjust the water pressure reducing valve under the house. Showers will be much better too. Should be located right after where the water enters the house. Maybe in the crawlspace if you have one.

I have 100psi on my RO unit. Kind of high but it's in a business with high water pressure. I think 60 psi is ideal
