I had this same skimmer in a tiny little sump and it seemed to have been working great (except my water levels were fluctuating so I was constantly pouring in more water)... So I just built a 40 gallon sump/fuge and cleaned the skimmer and popped it in the new sump. Nothing has really changed other than the fact that a) I cleaned the neck, b) it has about 3 more inches of water than what it had previously and now it seems to be more noisy than it was before? The website (trigger systems titan) calls for 7-11" and mine is in 12" of water.
It just seems like its making a ton of bubbles but not skimming... maybe I'm just being impatient? Also, in this youtube video I just made, ignore the "wet skimming" overflowing... I had just bumped up the level skimming level a bit too much and it was pouring water over.
What do you guys think?
