Hi,

I got a torch coral since one month ago and it looked very happy until 3 days ago, there is this part that looks strange, they polyps don't look completely gone like when they are dying but like deformed, the tissue looks inflated with some mini polyps all the other polyps looks very healthy.

I wonder if it is dying or splitting, what do you think?

Strange part:

looks like it's sitting in different areas couple questions was the head that's not inflated doing ok before you put it there? or was it doing bad and then you moved it? two things stick out one it's under a shaded area now and reaching for light on the 2 outer heads and that rock being so close to that head doing poorly.

Needs more light on the one side that's not opening try to find a spot where it will get ltght from all sides.

Hi, it was in that same position with the same light, but suddenly 3 days ago it start having this behavior. In the nights it looks like is recovering when the lights are off but as soon as the lights start it starts deflating in that area while the rest extends and look happy

Thanks for your answer, I will try to give more light to that area but I am afraid as I explained in my other answer it looks like is recovering during the night when all the lights are off and as soon as the light comes the other polyps extend and look happy but that area deflates and looks like dying
