Is PS 7.0 upgrade to CS worth it?

As I recall there were some significant changes between 7 and CS but it's been a while and my memory is pretty bad...
Does 7 have ACR- the raw converter? Shadows and highlights?

I don't think it does have a Raw converter but I use the Canon utility. It is a nice piece of software, I've heard. I'm still new at it.

Yeah - you have to have at least CS (or CS2) to use the latest versions of of Camera Raw.

Camera RAW and Adobe Bridge (vanishing point, HDR, etc.) would be two key reasons to upgrade to CS.

lol- you guys are already over my head :p
Does 7 have shadows and highlights? That's a very useful tool.

Roger that over my head thing Greg. I'm thinking of learning the one I have before getting the new one.

CS2 (I'm not sure about CS) also has the spot heal tool which is very useful. I don't think version 7 came with that tool

Spot Heal is a nice tool. ACR is nice, but I've had better luck with DPP (Digital Photo Professional, the Canon tool). It has less knobs to tweak vs ACR, but I get better images out of it.

If you're buying it I would suggest waiting until CS3 comes out- if your're stealing it go ahead and do it. As a professional photog I could never go back to an older version of photoshop. But for casual use you won't really notice the difference.
