Is something drilling my live rock?

I have a single filefish with some red hermits in my 36g. Thats all. Lately I am seeing small heaps of white powder in some places around or on the live rock. And some "holes" showing up too. It's as if someone is drilling holes in the live rock. Can hermits or the filefish do it? Or is there a hitchhiker in there? I have never seen a crab or something my tank that didn't belong in there.

Not really. But then I haven't stayed near the tank after completely dark.

Try tonight. If you hear clicking it's likely a mantis or a pistol shrimp

My guess is some worms are working in the rock. Most likely not a problem.
