Is the pharmaceutical iodine the same as lugols iodine?

Iv always wondered if lugols solution used in reef tanks is a diluted version of the iodine you get at pharmacies.

I think SSKI is pure potassium iodide. They don't look the same if that matters

Lugols by definition has a specific concentration of several ingredients. 5 g iodine (as I2), 10 g potassium iodide (KI) and water to a total of 100 mL.

I'm not sure what "Pharmaceutical iodine" is. If you buy Lugols at a pharmacy, it will be exactly the above material.
