between an Aussie Torch coral and a "regular" torch coral?

I'm no expert on Euphyllia corals but from what I know the Aussies normally are short tentacle and more stubby. The "regular" tourches have longer tentacles and seem to be more common in the trade. Beyond that I don't know my friend. Oh and let's not forget the price of Aussie corals are much higher as well.:thumbsup:

I think the Aussie livestock tends to be handled better, so you have a better chance of long term survival.

When I think aussie torch, the thick gold tentacle with white tips comes to mind. I haven't seen that coloration on any other torch.
