Is this a crack in the pump

Is this a crack in the pump, or does everyone got this line going on the head of the pump? (It feels a tad deep).

What you see is the "mold" parting line. This is where the two halves of the injection mold come together during the manufacturing process. This is typical with anything that produced by injection molding. Some are bigger than others. Look closely at any plastic part, you will see this.
So nothing to worry about.
