Is this a good Duncan placement?

Here is my Duncan and I have it placed "in" the sandbed. Is it OK to put it here? Some of the flesh is actually in the sand. Or should it just rest on the sandbed? Since it is growing one sided, if it sits on the sand, I am afraid it will tip over and the heads will be in the sand then. It is on a square plug that is about 1.5" x 1.5". Currently it is all shriveled up, but it is one big head and 3 other heads are growing around it.

I would keep it off the sand. a small flat rock underneath would do the trick
low to moderate flow/light
