Is This A Pest?

Hi Everyone,

I just noticed this today, there are tons of little feather like things all around this one Acro. They are not barnacles or anything as they almost appear to be stuck to it.

Very hard to take a photo of it but this is the only coral in the tank that has these, friend or foe? Sorry about the size of the photo its the only way you can see it.

Either those are mesenterial filaments (good) or hydroids (bad)

They look like digitate hydroids. Never seen them grow on sps before personally they can be a pest if they are stinging the coral. I believe they go away in time

After spending sometime on Google I saw a few photos of these Hydroids on Acros and I do believe this is what we are dealing with, now some of the posts around these photos said they were not bad and normally went away after a few weeks. The coral that they are on is doing great no polyp extension during the day but at night goes crazy!
