And if so, do you know the species? Size-wise....it would fit on a dime.

Initially, it appeared that he was missing legs.......but I'm not sure.

Most likely an asterina starfish. Check the first pic in this article. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-06/ac/feature/index.php. The more common ones are safe algae eaters, but there are also some reported to munch on coral.

That looks pretty close, though mine is fairly white. I guess the colors could vary.
