Hi Guys - Just moved corals from my old tank to new red sea reefer. All looked ok yeaterday when i moved the corals but came home from work today to find my hammer coral with this mucus type stuff on it. Can anyone tell me what it is? And if it is Brown Jelly disease what should i do??

I can't really tell if it is that. However if it is, take it out put in another bucket and swirl it around or use a power head. If you know there was hammers where it was and it's not there any more it probably it BJD (brown jelly disease). If that's the case scrape off the remaining BJD and maybe cut off the dead tissue and create a fire line with coral glue so it doesn't spread. Then dip in iodine.

This is info what a LFS told me what to do when I had it on one of my LPS, however it was too far gone and I lost it.

Cheers man it was beginning to deteriorate pretty bad over night so i pulled it and put it in the trash just in case. Is there a treatment i should use on the tank now to stop BJD spreading???

It was either brown jelly or some kind of decay imo, probably smelled awful. I think as long as your new track is fully cycled and stable you should be good.
