Is this Cespitularia? And what ways to identify these from others.

So I'm in my LFS (Local fish store) and one of the staff told me of some Cespitularia that they just received in a trade in. I've been wanting some for sometime so I decided to check it out. Well, I didn't buy it because I figured it would have been more...blue. But I have no other way to tell if it is because other then color what other way can you tell?

Here are the so called Cespitularia in question?

I don't think so, but hard to get a good look with your photo. Compare to Tamarae's post that is a good reference. Also after lights go off use a regular flash light and Blue Cespitularia will sparkle. HTH

hard to tell without better pics, could be xenia, could be blue anthellia. the last pics does look more like cespitularia though

I saw this as well. I have a couple specimens of cespit. and would definitely lean more towards a type of heteroxenia for this specimen. After a good examination at the store appears all the polyps emerge from a shared "cap" on the stalk.

The second pic looks more like cespit. that's been torn from its base. The polyp structure looks much more correct and the growth nodes/runners are there around the stalk.
