Is this diatoms? Or just aging rocks?

Since I feed the coral once a week and use reef nutrition liquid type of foods, and feed anemones 2 times per week, it looks like I have another diatom bloom. My tank is 4 months old. I had one bloom 2 months ago and it was all gone.

Is this diatom bloom, or just my rocks aging? I also noticed one tiny bubble algae that I removed yesterday, and strings of hair algae here and there.

It looks just more like algae to me. Probably from being so close to sunlight coming in through the windows. Diatoms are more brown. How long has your tank been running?

4 months..... Your just starting to see the "uglies". All new tanks go through an algae phase, yours is just starting.

+1. We all go though some form of it. After a year or so it should mature and become less and less an issue. That is as long as you are patient, practice good maintenance and patience some more. Happy Reefing

Window blinds always closed everyday and only opens around 6 pm in the evening.
