I realize anemone's are difficult to care for and this is my first foray. When I received him via overnight delivery I drip acclimated him and placed him in the top of my 55gal reef tank. I have two Current Orbit LED lights for a total of 96 LED watts and placed him towards the top on some LR. He quickly floated down to the bottom of the tank and there found a nice place up against some base rock on the sand bottom. it was a little low in my opinion, but I figured (and was confirmed in another thread) he knows best. That night the ocellaris began hosting him and he began to bubble his tips. The next day he was in place and doing well, though not quite as full as overnight. Again last night he was doing well and got a little bigger and the ocellaris slept in him. however, this morning his tentacles looked a little stringy but not bleached and his mouth is open a little with some white slimy protusion looking a little like curdled milk (gastric evisceration possibly?). Overall he is "hunched" a bit more and not as open. At the very least I believe he is stressed, but I am not sure how to help him. Should I dose with antibiotics, possibly cipro, do another water change this evening? move him to a higher place, give up and remove him? If I can I will post a pic to give you a better idea of what he looks like. Any advice is appreciated!!
