i don't know enough about it to tell you one way or another, maybe if you post this in the reef chemistry forum those folks could tell you yes or no, smart people those chemists!

Yes it is ok to use , how are you going to dose it ? I use a brand called dowflake calcium chloride , I use 1 cup per 1 gallon of r/o water and I dose this thru a dosing pump it keeps my calcium about 440 ?

I mentioned in the other thread that there's no way to tell from the packaging if it is suitable pure or not, unfortunately.
