Is this really a BTA?

I bought two of these about 4 months ago, and as you can see it is still the size of a quarter, or as big as a med/lrg Duncan head. Hasn't grown much even with feeding 3-4 times a week. I mostly feed it mysis. It is very colorful but seems to me that it lacks zoox.

My questions are: 1. Anybody had a bta this small before? 2. How long should it take to acquire zoox? I have other rainbow bta's in the same tank that are "normal" size, could this nem. acquire zoox. from them?

Thanks for your insight.

I believe that it is a BTA. I have one that size and another one smaller.

I have one that is very similar. I wondered the same thing since there is a paucity of tentacles around the mouth, which i never noticed in past RBTAs that I have owned.

I had one lose its zoox and it took about 6 months to recover. I just fed it a couple of times a week until it got its color back.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Does this anemone look bleached to you, or is it possible that it is not a clone but a resulting baby anemone from a spawn? I see lots of color, but translucent tentacles. It seems very healthy but lacks zooxanthaelle, maybe it's not old or big enough to have acquired them yet? Your thoughts???
