If so, just take it out and discard the rock it was on?

Here is the closest picture I could get with my cell phone.

It has definitely gotten larger in the week that I have noticed it.

As I'm looking closer I notice tiny green muchroom looking algea with white spots to the left of the red algea. That while rock is just infested with growing things, really cool to look at.

History behind that small rock is that my wife and I brought it back from Hawaii where we found it on the North Shore. We had set u p the tank before we left and we just through it in. We rinsed it off, but transporting it from Hawaii we just had it in a bag, no water or any special precautions.

It was just a rock on a beach in Hawaii we wanted to have a keepsake.
