65 gallon with 20 gallon sump/fuge. Noticed this red string hanging onto the rubble rock. Only have cheato and a thin layer of sand and a feather duater in there. Is this the dreaded red cyno? If so what do I do?

Yes these are cyano. The usual reduce nutrient (GFO, carbon, RO/DI, feed less, macro, bio-pellets, more water change, more aggressive skimming, etc) and increase flow, making sure lights aren't old and manual removal are ways to control their spread. Cyano is in almost every tank (even the cleanest SPS tanks I have seen have them occasionally) so it's not really the end of the world.
