Okay, so my rocks came tumbling down, ;( I know, and when I was done picking everything up, I noticed this ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415768914.966408.jpg I remember asking a few weeks ago what starfish were safe. This guy just happened to come out of the blue... Maybe in a piece of coral or a rock? Anyhow, it just burrowed into the sand. I think it is a tiger stripes snake starfish. Are they safe to keep. Like I said, it's the size of a bean. Lol. Will it harm my corals or clams?

Ps: if this guy has been living in my tank, does that mean my water is okay for a starfish now?

Looks like a micro brittle starfish and yes, he's safe and beneficial. :) You usually won't see them out, though you might spot them waving their legs out of crannies in the rocks.

Those are harmless and useful. They'll breed and help keep your tank clean, and they can't kill anything aside from maybe the occasional amphipods.
