Is this toadstool revivable?

I thought it was just shedding at first. Now it looks even worse. It's been doing this for about a week and a half now. Any advice?

I've seen mine look that bad. They get grumpy some times. Unless its melting or appears to be releasing toxins I would leave it be.

Toadstools open and close. It's normal unless you see rot.
