is this too much light?

I just switched my 55 gal fuge from caulerpa to cheato. I want to get some good growth fast, so I put a 250 MH 10000K over it. Is this going to be too much light. What I had both over the caulerpa was 4 of the 6500k spot lights. Should I just stick with them?

The halides are fine and will quite likely increase growth, watch you nutrient levels and make sure they remain available available.

Cool thanks, I almost can tell an increase in growth already. I also put a little Fe in the tank to help.
