Hello to all RC members, mods, and guest!! Welcome to my build thread. DT is a 144 gal. Half round oceanic on the show stand with a custom built canopy. Sump is a 75 gal glass tank with glass baffles. For equipment: reef octopus skimmer 3000lph...neptune aqua jr controller dc 8 temp and ph probe...tunze 7095 multicontroller w/ 2 X 6100.10 PH...ecoplus4950 gph return pump....custom manifold for reactors....A lot of plumbing!....Lighting. 48" t5ho 4 x 54. Will be adding. A 36" MH/T5 combo to front of tank 2x 250 w mh. 4 x 39w T5. Lots of RB led for moonlight on dimmer .... I like the rock wall on this tank... generally I don't like rock walls but I think it works well with the shape of this tank.

Thanks Chyendra! It took alot of patience! Lol.. And the system i used requires 0 ph cure time so that was a big time and headache saver!

Should be transfering my corals in a week or two (Mostly SPS)(most of them are in the 75 in basement). Fish will be a slow process( QT everything!)

Acro colony: 2x large Purple acro,4x medium purple acros, large purple bonsai, large milli, Acro frag: green slimer, large neon green stylo, blue acro, Blue tort, Blue Oregon Tort, Bali Tricolor, Blue Voodoo, Wild Yellow Acro, Bird of Paradise, Blue Milli, Pink Milli Clone, Purple Stylo, Neon Green Stylo

Montipora: large idaho grape cap, idaho grape frag, red hot chilli pepper frag, purple digi


Lps: 10 head frogspawn, acan, kryptonite candy cane


CUC: couple hermits and snails blood red fire shrimp

Fish: pacific blue tang, powder blue tang, copperband butterfly,yellow pyramid bfly, regal angel(giving it a shot seen alot of success), 2 ocel. clown, target madarin(heavily pod stocked 20 gal refugium), 6 line wrasse.

Nice tank! What are you going to stock with?
I have a half round tank too but it's 20 gallons.

hi duncantse. thanks i was afraid of the curved glass and viewing but it isnt bad at all. See the post above yours for info on livestock. What do you have in your 20? I enjoy smaller tanks...so much easier to maintain. And easier on the pocket!

Thanks needmore-reef here and there! Anyways i used a mix of Crushed oyster shell, arag fiji pink sand, and quickwall. i dont remember the exact ratio i will add link to my older diy rock background thread. Took alot of playing with different materials before i found the best mix and products.

Based on the corals mentioned in post #3 any ideas on where the placement should be to achieve best results.....total height of tank is about 30 inches

Coral rx? Even if there doesn't seem to be

any visible pest should I still dipbefore going into main display and is there a risk of stressing coral out and causing problems with color and stuff like that

Almost 2 months has gone by and not a whole lot has changed.....added the MH/T5 lighting, Korallin Cal RX, still battling a small diatom problem in sand and little bit of cyano in sand. However all the rock and glass is clean thankfully.... All livestock is doing great, should be adding about 30 to 40 new pieces over the next couple of weeks, mostly ORA and Tyree acros. For the moment i have a few pieces in the tank,lost a couple of frags first go around....
