Issues with brains

I've been having some weird problems in my tank with 3 types of corals, I have a nice welso and traco that do not inflate. I have had the traco for almost a year and it never loses flesh but always closed up. The welso has been in my tank for about 3 months and does the same thing. At night they inflated a very small amount but not much. I just sold a pair as well and in the buyers tank they inflated almost immediately. They welsos were in my tank a month and did nothing. I went ahead and put them under a ledge to see if could be the lighting with luck. Acans do the same thing until they melt away. Weird thing is I have 2 bleeding heart scolys that are doing great. tank is a mixed 230 gallon.
Salinity is 1.026
Alk 8.5 -10
Cal 380
Mag 1300
Nitrate 16 (raised it up to see if water too clean)
Phosphate 0
Flow 2 mp40s on reef crest

Any ideas?

I consider the scolys to be harder to keep, so there's that. Is there anyone picking on them, a fish or a crab. I had an open brain all of sudden start closing up more and more, found out my tail spot blenny was picking at it. He finally kill it.

The weird thing is there's no nip marks and they havnt opened ever and I've had them long time. I had another one that I sold to a friend and bit puffed quickly in his team.

LPS (and SPS) don't like 0 phosphate.. Raise it to 0.03 an keep your nitrites around 2 and there happy together with the SPS. Also you can try to feed them some mysis which will be appreciated when running on low nutritions. Watch the nitrates though..

Hmm... Is something actually wrong or are they just not up to your regular standards? We all have bad days... (sometimes in a row)

Before you do anything drastic, just give it some time. Good luck!

How are you measuring your salinity? Depending on what you're using it might be higher than 1.026, personally I've had better luck with LPS keeping the salinity at 1.024.

Aside from salinity your alkalinity swings are pretty wide, and the calcium and magnesium are a little low.

Another thing might be too much white light, what lights are you using and what spectrum?

For some reason RC wouldn't let post sorry. phosphate is at 0.03 Hanna checked. Salinity is checked with refractometer at 1.026, calcium is up to 440 and mag is 1320, alk is at 7.8 I let nitrates raise up to 16, switched to red sea reef energy, a little bit of improvement but not much. I tried putting the welsos in a plastic container and float to see if was too much flow with no luck, built a cage with egg crate to prevent nipping no luck, lights are mats aqua with blues at 80% and whites at 25%

Have you tried feeding them? Go in a few hours after lights out, turn off the pumps and lay some food on them, may or may not help, but won't hurt to try.

That is a whole lot of nitrates, could very well be the issue. Red Sea Reef Energy is for clean water tanks and isn't for fixing LPS, won't do much in a dirty tank but grow algae and raise nitrates which will stress your corals even more.
