I'm looking to replace my Iwaki 100 with a more energy efficient pump. Can anybody recommend a pump with equivilent flow but less wattage? Thanks in advance for any advice/input.
Not sure about electrical usage but I can tell you the Panworld 250 is much quieter and identical performance curves to the Iwaki 100 (company is run by a former Iwaki engineer I guess).
I use a 250 to run my skimmer and it's quieter than my Iwaki 70 was..honestly the Becketts are louder than the pump itself.
Do you really need a pressure pump like the Iwaki? If not then you can get more GPH and half the wattage with a Reeflo Dart pump. If you need the pressure similiar to the Iwaki 100 then try the Reeflo Marlin 2050gph 37' (13.8psi) 2.7A/310W. A tad less than 3.4A of the Iwaki 100
l do believe I need a pressure rated pump because it's what's recommended for my ETSS 2000 skimmer. Guess I should have specified the Iwaki's application in my post.
