How are things down your way? Have you got settled in OK? Tank doing OK? Job? Redhead or Blonde?

Time to tell all, within the guidelines of the User Agreement of course:D

So much to tell and I have no idea where to begin.

My second week at work I was asked to assume the responsibilities of General Manager, something I knew would happen at some point but not the second week. LOL My book keeper decided she could make more money elsewhere and left last week. (true she could and did) Work is kicking my butt, doing my job as well as hers.

Austin is still paradise but it looks more like any other major city now. :-( The latest rage is the campaign to "Keep Austin Weird" and I am doing my part. lol You would only understand if you have lived here or been here much. It is a very "granola" city. I have eaten most of the things I missed the most. All I can say is St Louis, while a nice place, is sorely missing out on flavor and eating out.

Shana and I are still together and she is keeping her natural red hair more of a soft brown to blonde for me. :D She moved in a month ago and my little place went from being more than enough to way too dang small. LOL

I am not going to set up a tank for at least a year...we need a bigger place before I can do that. I also just do not have time to dedicate to a tank right now. I spend my free time petting the kitty and a tank would cut into that time. :D Even though I am eating like a pig I have went from 207 to 192 pounds. hehehe

Here is a pic of the morning of her move in...we really need a bigger place soon. I'll post a few newer pics next week as time permits.

All in all it was the best move I could have made. My daughter is still an angel, she plays violin in her school orchestra and recently I went to one of the concerts. I don't remember our school band being this talented. LOL

Back off Trottman...she is only 12.

I do miss St Louis, but it is more the people I miss not the place. They don't do trashed wings here and the salt water scene is not as friendly but there are about 6 stores in the area dedicated to salt.

I had no idea you moved!!- but I have not been on the site for a while. Enjoy your time in Austin
PL

Austin is a lot of fun. Spent a year at UT and loved every minute of it. Enjoy yourself and good luck.

Also, have to agree with your food commnets. Spent a total of 6 years in Texas and the food is amazing.

I don't regret coming home...it has been great. I spent 38 years here, there is no place like Austin.

Sounds like you have more than enough on your plate to keep you busy!! Cute daughter and cute girlfriend!! Good thing you have several hundred miles between her and Trottie:lol:

Bummer on the tank, but you still might beat me:D

about 900 miles...but since his parents don't let him out of the house much my daughter is safe. :D

I was supposed to delete that pic of Shana...she hates it. She'll kick my butt when she sees it here. LOL It will be at least a year before I set up a tank again...you at least finally have water in yours.

Hey now. Just got done smoking 2 turkeys and a 10.5 lb. brisket texas style so not all places are lacking flavor. Send me a PM if you want pics :D

Glad all is well!

Jack,

Your 125 is doing fine. But is is holding a school of cichlids now instead of a reef.

Some women are too good for us reefers. Mine is one of them. She knows how I miss the hobby and encouraged me to get back into it. We have practically no floor space in our place but I bought another 58 last weekend. ReefReady and practically new. No scratches, perfect stand, the canopy needs a little work, with Tidepool sump, all for 200 bucks. I have managed to clean off enough floorspace to get the tank in the living room.

Pics to come...but it will be a while before it sees water. It may have salt and livestock in it by sometime in Jan. :D
