Jalli 18w light?

I bought the 18" CPR Aquafuge, and I'm looking for a light.

The HD and Lowes around here, unfortuantly don't carry any type of PC lighting.

So, I was going to order the 18w Jalli light with Aquafuge legs, to go over the fuge.



Any input on this light?

Hi Nick,

I would recommend the screw-in PC lamps which should be available at either of those hardware stores or Wal-Mart. Something around 30-45 watts would probably give you great growth in your fuge.

I just ordered one from them. It will be fine for the refuge. It does get a littel hot thou.

I have one, and yeah it is a little hot. I can't say much for growth, I can't get my macro to grow at all. =/

Does it heat the water, or just the bulb get hot?

Im sure there will be some heat up of the water. Im using it on my 40g hex until the sump it done. Im getting nice growth from my Macro I have feather,razor and olga in there.

Did you get the JALLI PL18W DAYLIGHT BULB FOR AFSM/AFMD WITH STAND? How did it fit. I just got a HOB 24" aquafuge and looking for a light. Thanks.

Hey, I will be mine ordering Monday. It obviously fits tightly like a glove, otherwise they wouldn't sell it.


If you want to wait for a week, I will tell you exactly how it looks and if everything connects properly, or whatever you're trying to ask.

Got the 24watt Jalli today for my 24" aquafuge. Looks nice and bright.

In 3 days? That's super quick..


I'm still debating about spending $50 for a fuge light.. but it may be my only choice, since I'm not much of a DIY type person, nor do I have any equipment.

I was hoping someone local had a smaller PC setup for sale, but it looks like they don't.

I have the 18W over my 24" aquafuge, macro's grow really well, pod population is overflowing, it does heat the water a little bit but not enough to make a big difference in the display, I got mine from ameka as well mainly because of the stands that CPR makes for the light it keeps the fuge from bowing, my fuge had started to bow a little my the time I got the light (took 8 days to get here) and the stands pulled it right back into shape, I love mine.

You can get the light from premium aqauatics cheaper than ameka but they didn't have the stands from CPR when I got mine I think they may have the stands now you might check with them.

I added a micro fan to mine. You will be surpised how hot the light gets. I don't use the legs for my sump it's custom .
