The presentation/diy demo will cover several beginner diy aquascaping techniques.

I plan on mainly going over drilling rock, using acrylic or pvc rod, and how to use expanding foam spray.

If anyone has any suggestions or topics to cover please post them here or on the seasl.org forum.

Its now less than a week away. I saw some of Nick's work last week and I really wish I had waited until I learned how to do this stuff before I piled the mound of rock in my tank.

This promises to be a great session and how can you go wrong with power tools, hammers, glue and zip ties?

See you there and always you don't need to be a member to attend.

I have some orangish-red montipora caps that I am thinking of bringing for the frag swap if anyone has any interest let me know. One piece is almost a colony, lol. I have several pieces that I need to break off as the colony is starting to grow out of the water almost.

I could def. use the monti caps....can you hold a cap for me....I'll be there before 10...I also really need a small chunk of green frogspawn.

Jerry,
I sent you a PM on 1/4/09 that I am interested in a frag of your cap. I am new to this hobby. Just let me know what I need to do or bring to get a cap frag from you.

Thanks,

Nick, excellent presentation! That was motivating. I wish I could just start over with aquascaping my reef tank. You gave us so many good ideas. Thanks for bringing ALL the materials, supplies, tools, supplies and even aquarium to demonstrate. By putting the finished live rick spires and foam/rock corner background in the tank, that was a prefect way to see how it all comes together.

Nick, I think you have aquascaping skills people would pay for! I could easily see this as an encore presentation at the May frag swap or even a breakout session at MACNA. I am not kidding :bounce2: :bounce2:

No Doubt Mr. Saltygils

Excellent presentation.

Thanks again Nick for all of the work that you did to pull this off. I could tell you put in a lot of time to get this together. What are you planning for next month???

Here are a few pics from today's meeting and Nick's presentation before my camera battery died. The last one is my favorite. Hopefully Joe will have some pics to share. Darn shame we did not have a pic of all the frags on the Micro Frag Swap table.
