Hi everybody this is my first post but I'm here almost every day learning and reading about reef aquariums. This forum is full of information and I think I can build my own setup with all I learned here.
My biggest inspiration is "œd2mini's 130g Rimless Cube"
I am following that build and planning my own.
I think d2mini's first idea was to have the overflow right in the middle of the tank.
I like that idea and I think I will go ahead and plan my setup with the overflow in the middle.
The tank will be 28" x 28" x 22" high with all sides starfire glass ½" thick with ½" regular glass bottom. Bottom will have 4-1/4" hole right in the middle for 4" clear
acrylic tube that will be incorporating my overflow. Top 6" or so of that 4" tube will
be my overflow area holding two 1-1/4" drains ( 1 main and 1 emergency )
one 1" return and one 1-1/2" dry pipe for electrical cables.
I am getting glass precut and I will try to glue this cube myself.
Just received my acrylic pipes and now I am in the stage of drafting my design and confronting with great minds on this forum for feedback and advice.
I am attaching some pictures of my first / base design.
