A few weeks ago, I purchased this JBJ 28g nano cube LED Advnced from Krazy, and last week I purchased a SRO LX-1000S HOB skimmer from jjk_reef00.
I first set the nano cube up about two weeks ago with 30Lb new oolitic aragonite sand, and transferred about 15g of water and 15lb of live rock rock from my 75g reef.
Initially the nano was set up without a skimmer, as the JBJ skimmers air pump is too loud for my tastes in a bedroom tank.
I had a major sand storm which would not go away. I added the SRO LX-1000S skimmer the other day, and the water became crystal clear within a day.
Its current inhabitants are 1 sebae clownfish, 1 6 line wrasse, and a ball of chaeto from the sump of my 75g reef in the back lit by the JBJ nano-glo light.
I plan on setting this nano up as a mixed reef eventually.
