Finally taking the plunge back into saltwater after being in only freshwater for a while. I tried utilizing/finding as much used equipment as I could for the last year or so, waiting for stuff to go on sale or find a good deal.
Main Equipment is as follows:
JBJ 30 Rimless
Ai Hydra 26 HD
Tunze 9004 DC
Vortech MP10w
Apex Jr. (controlling 2 tanks)
I'm using my Apex Jr. that is controlling my freshwater tank to control this one as well. I added a second eb8, pm1, and wxm.
I also recently got into 3d printing and am trying to make/design useful things.
I am using some printed loc-line fittings, a water diverter on one of the weirs, and a floss/pad holder for mechanical filtration.
I started with 30lbs of reefcleaners dry rock and 20 lbs or so of Caribsea dry reef grade sand. I liked the look of the barnacle clusters and wanted to try and incorporate them into the hardscape. A blenny of some sort is definitely in my stocking plans.
You can see the water diverter connected to the weir and the filter pad holder. I cut 4" felt squares to fit into the holder and plan on just tossing them as needed. 2 yards of felt from the local fabric netted me about year supply of squares.
