Jebaos... anyone have experience with them?

I was wondering if anyone has any genuine experience with jebao circulation pumps and how they've stood up over time?

You will probably hear mixed reviews many have had great luck with them... I had good luck with the older wp10's and had 2 rw series that didn't even make it a month.... I use vortech now and would never turn back....

Try a quick search up top, there's usually at least one thread a week on their performance and a few threads have thousands upon thousands of replies.

I have 2 RW-8s and like them.
Enough power that I have them turned all the way down for now.
One is new to me and the other I bought from someone who was doing a tank tear down. The controllers are mixed up now but one is wonky and gets stuck on night mode sometimes. Works just fine just won't "un-night" every so often.

My RW8 has run perfectly for a year or so and it moves significantly more water than my MP10. The shaft spins on ceramic sleeve bearings at each end and the rear one has a tendency to freeze up. I run it in a diluted vinegar bath about every 3-4 months for an hour or so to clean and prevent the seize. Mine is as quiet as my MP10 or more so at high speed.

Have both the Rw8 and the 25. The Rw8 is very powerful. I have it only on 2 bars. The 25 is full speed. Have had the 25 for two years with no issues.

I have 2 WP10's, 4 WP25's, 1 RW4 and 3 RW15's.

IMO

The WP10's are horrible, parts broke, pump locks up, no good.

The WP25's were reliable enough but they do lose speed quickly as they get dirty. Never failed in over a year of use, currently not used.

I really like my RW15's, and they are filthy dirty and still cranking out plenty of power for me. Same with the RW4 in my smaller tank. Much improved over the older models IMO. As far as the new controller. It works, but don't trust any fancy wireless sync settings, mine have never worked right.

2 - WP60s
1 - RW20
4 - WP40s
2 - RW15s
2 - WP25s
2 - WP10s
2 - DCT4000s
2 - DC9000s

Had a WP40 burn out and had to replace a power supply on one DC9000.

This was over 18 months.

Pretty happy :)

I have a dc6000 return and 2x rw8 for the last month, i find the return had a little hum / electric noise to it and im in love with the rw8!

Great buys imo! I like the fact i can control the return with the controller

I started off with (3) WP-25's about a year and a half ago. (1) of them burnt out on me a couple of months ago, the other (2) are still good, but I'm not using them.

I bought a WP-10 for a nano I had going, but I was not happy at all with that pump. It works, but I would pretty much use any regular old powerhead for water movement over a WP-10.

Now I have (2) RW-8's. They're a couple months old (I replaced my WP-25's with these) and they're fantastic pumps IMO, I just don't like how the brackets don't allow for 360º adjustment like the WP series does.

If / when these die - I'll replace them with more Jebao's. For the money and the performance, IMO - you just can't beat them.
