Has anyone had any of them come along as hitchhikers?

I noticed one in my nano a few months ago, thought it was cool, but figured anything I thought was cool would die, and paid no thought to it.

I figured it would be siphoned off in a large WC or some other calamity.

I noticed there are at least four tonight.....and that was with just a quick look so there are probably more.

Kinda cool little suckers, and here is a link of someone who has had them as well which shows pictures.

The aquarium store in denios had some brightly colored ones for about $15-20 each. They were about a softball size though.

Paul brought some back from Florida, and he said they were reef safe, but I don't know what happened to them? His were quarter to half-dollar sizes.

I am counting about 6 today. They are pretty small, 3/16" diameter, but will see if I can get a picture.

I had seen some I think they were "thimble" jelly fish at 6th ave in SF before, thinking they were very cool.....but probably wouldn't survive.

I had a cool black one the size of a half dollar once...It's not meant for any serious waterflow. Pumps of any kind and unscreened overflows are not a good environment. Mine lasted about 2 days before getting sucked into a MJ600. It was cool while it lasted though.

Me and Paul collected some Cassiopea Jellies while in Florida.

Both of mine are still doing great in a large frag tray just at the surface of my Florida tank.

Are you planning on keeping them in the frag tray? Or are you going to introduce them into a display tank?

I dont think they would last long in a normal display tank. For right now, I am just pleased they are still alive.
