Hello everyone, my name is Addison and I'm a full time college student from Texas. The time has finally come I'm joining the large reef forum I frequent the Sps keepers mostly. This will be a semi fast build probably 2-3 months, it's going to be simple build but this is my first blog. I currently have a 58 gallon oceanic Sps tank which has fallen short of my needs, although throughout the years I've had 8 tanks (been in the saltwater hobby since 2001).My new 125 will have lots of fish and all of my coral colonies from the existing tank (will not be a disappointment promise I always push the limits!). I plan on running my current skimmer sc302 with a large fuge for nutrient export. Halides w/ vho's will be used for lighting due to heat and electricity usage I plan on switching to t5's and leds in the future. This tank will be hand dosed with brightwell reef code A and B for calcium/alkalinity, Kent tech M for mag, and Red sea's amino acids and coral colors trace elements. Another thing I want to add is that this tank will be extremely quiet due to being in my bedroom there will be unique plumbing involved to execute this modified durso's, reverse durso's, and ect. I've gotten a great deal on the tank and stand from another local reefer in the Dallas area which I should be picking up in the next following weeks. I will provide the tentative specs for the build bellow.
