I have a used JNS Alpha 2 (with a sticker saying its Seaside Aquatics but its exactly the same as the JNS 2.) I also have over 1,000ML of Two Little Fishies biopellets to go with it.

Picture of mine is attached. Its works well, in that I rarely had to tinker with it so it was a pretty low maintenance unit with just the occasional cleaning for tiny pellets blocking the screen. It wasn't enough reactor for my water volume and bio load though so I went with a big sulfur reactor.
$100 for both. I'm in Belmont on the Peninsula.
