Joe's Juice

Not sure of the contents. I think its just salt, water, and kalk. But i have used it on on an aiptasia in the middle of a zoo colony. Of course i got too much on the anenome and it also landed on the zoos. Within about 5 minutes the aiptasia was dead and the zoos looked fine.

You can use it on other things to .I was having a Xenia problem in my tank and instead of risking speading the xenia all over the tank by pulling it out I used it on the xenia .The next day the xenia that I used it on was gone .

I just used Joe Juice to nuke aiptesia in my SPS tank 2 weeks ago. SPS are OK. Just be conservative and use it step by step. I killed about 5 aiptesia per day with only one small shot on each of them. One of the aptesia even was on the base of an acro, but the polyp of the acro was still open.
Again just be very very conservative for the amount use.

Add something like shrimp head juice or clam juice (not bottled) to the kalk paste and the aips will inhale it before they feel the burn. Kinda like folks the first time they try some TN shine. :).

FWIW I went through 4 bottles of the stuff when it first came out. If you don't kill the foot, it will come back. I found the stuff good for wallet draining if you have too many. Homemade is just as good, but until you find the natural preadator for your tank, they will always return.

Me too. JJ is judicious japery. Many will die, but many more will sprout. This jibe will make you buy more JJ.

The trick is to not make the aiptasia feel you are violating them. Just a gentle squirt at first, make the aiptasia want more, then hit'em hard. If you can get its tentacles to wrap around the JJ and really take it in, then you own them. They will die.

Rodiolunatic is right, if you have a lot of them just do a few every day. I have spilled over on my sps, zoos and even a clam w/o problem so far but I wouldn't want to push this luck too far because it does pee them off for awhile.

how do you make your own Joe's Juice. what is the recipe?

The recipe I use is: 1 part kalk, 3 parts RO water and 1-2ml of Selcon

By using the Selcon, the aiptasia think it's a food source and just suck up the kalk taking deep inside. Within a few minutes they're melting.
