Thank you to all who entered this month and congratulations to the 5 finalists. Voting ends on June 28th and the winner is announced on the 29th.

Before July 4th, the winner must start the contest for August and post their July NTOTM thread. Best of luck! :)

rehype ftw . The depth produced with such a small foot print is awesome !!! Looks so good it makes me wanna slap my mama .. OK I know I lost it there for a moment .I would never do such a thing .

tangs do not belong in nanos :angryfire:

Why not ? I do not see this as any type of infraction at all .
As long as it's small . I have a baby hippo in mine . Sure it will have to go back to the LFS down the road . No harm done ..
For the record what size tanks are Tang's in when you buy them from the LFS . Some fish sell fast and other's can stay for month's .
So what's the difference ?.. nada .... So if I can't keep a small tang in my nano then a LFS should not bring them in for sale ...
I am sorry but that is not going to happen

Thanks for explaining for me. The tang has already outgrown my tank and moved into my buddys 150 gallon. He was kept in my tank as a "nursery" until he outgrew the enclosure. No different than whats done in zoos or aquariums. Keeping him long term in my tank would be unfair or cruel.

It's the equivalent of keeping a baby human in a 75 gallon aquarium until he's ready for a 220 where it can be kept for 3-4 other babies. Finally, it can be kept in a home and roam the city.

You may not realize it, but you're either stunting their growth, whether that be physical, mental or emotional. Keeping a young tang in an aquarium not large enough to comfortably house a full grown adult is inherently wrong.

Ps. rehype, I love your zoas.
