hey, i just bought an inch long juvenile palette surgeonfish and i was wondering if any special requirements are needed

Just make sure that you quaritine it very well as Hippo tangs are ich magnets. When you place it in the tank give it some rocks to hide in and it should be ok. Since it's so small make sure it's eating and nothing is bothering it as the small ones have a very death rate. An 1" is a good size for a small one.
