I have a 100 galon tank with 2 perc. clowns, 1 royal dottyback, 1 yellowtang, 1 powder blue tang and 1 clown tang. All fish have been living well together for about a year. I have recently downgraded my tank from sps dominent reef to a few softies and fish.....the tank looks empty without the corals....
The yellowtang is the oldest....about 10 years, but the clown tang(about 1 year) seems to be taking over. What fish should i add to the mix without a major war!!!!
Thanks for any advice

well to start... 100 is too small for most tangs, let alone 3. FYI

Yeah, those 3 tangs in a 100 would make the tank seem full to me. I'm surprised the Clown hasn't shown his real aggression yet. They hate other Acanthurus genus tangs especially, like your PBT. Clowns are 2nd only to Sohal's in tang aggression level (IME). When the clown & PBT mature, I think you're in for real trouble. The Clown's recent bullying is just the tip of the iceberg. IMO, an establish CT in a 100 gal tank isn't going to tolerate any newcomers. A CT is capable of more than just a little bossiness, he comes armed with a scapel and I'd expect him to start slicing & dicing soon. I think a new fish would really set him off. CTs can reach well over 12" and LA suggests a 250 as the minimum tank size. Cramped quarters + mature aggressive fish= real mayhem.
