just bleached SPS

As the title states I've just bleached my sps due to a few combined things , new ballast, new bulbs and DC8 sticking on ,

I was running the new lights at a reduced time 1.5hrs a day, I felt this would be a good start but coming home today the lights were still on. Total time of 2.5 hrs and its evident that bleaching has occured, however there is still colour in the corals.
I have since turned off lights and am wondering what my attack plan should be over the next few days to insure the bleaching does not continue.

So far my plan is to see the week out just running my actinics and i've also got a hold of a par meter thanks to (Aqua80) .

I am considering going back to my original 250W MH (new are 400W) I will be able to reintroduce the lights at a reduced par, ie shaded.

any thoughts/ suggestions

I would raise the height of the lights,or lower time.
Bleaching can occur specially going from 250w to 400w
New ballast and bulb.
