I just bought this BTA today. Just wanted to know what everyone thinks. Does he look healthy and what color would you say he is? Thanks in advance.:celeb1:

It's the ultra-rare invisible bubble tip anemone. You should see the prices on these things. The one good thing about them - shipping is a lot less expensive. :)

I heard shipping is next to nothing, and they are always wysiwyg. ;)

Bta?

Bta?

Hi Guppy74 ; Great Bubble-Tipped Anenome it looks kind of brown right now but that is alot better than white , it will get more colorful and can get either greener or redder tips at the end of the tentacles. I feed my green bubble every 3rd day a piece of red salmon or any bait fish that I caught from the ocean. It looks like it settled in a very open area. Did it move around alot or did you get it already attached to a piece of rock? What lights are you running and what size is your system? :fish2:

It was attached to a piece of rock it did however move a little over night. I have a 29 gallon tank with an Odyssea with 4 T-5's at 96 watt's. some people bash the odyssea lights but I have bought 2 of the the one for the 29 gallon and one for my 75 gallon freshwater with plants and they work great and the price can't be beat.

Sounds fine to me. I keep my BTAs and an LTA under T-5 lights (ATI 4-bulb fixture). I do have to feed them at least once a week or they get restless.

I use a small Odyssea PC light for my fuge. No complaints.

I tried to feed it a small piece of Raw shrimp but it did not eat it, took it in its mouth then later spit it out

All anemones should be fed smaller bits of food - pencil eraser size or smaller. It is healthier for them so they don't use as much energy as attempting to digest large pieces of food. Just because an anemone can (and will) ingest a large piece of food doesn't make it a good thing.

Your anemone looks pretty decent, but will definitely color up. Right now I'm not sure I can tell if it's more likely to go reddish or greenish, but my initial thought was green.

The reason why many people do not care for the odyssey light fixtures is because they use one reflector over two lights instead of individual reflectors. While both look equally bright to our eye, the individual reflector greatly increases the amount of usable light in the tank.
