Just need some info

So I wouldn't call this breeding as its more like hatching because j am harvesting brine shrimp but how does the filtration work. I got a sponge filter because every where I read said I need that. But I don't understand how they don't get sucked up by that the way they would in a normal filter.

Question: How does a sponge filter not suck up the brine shrimp the way a normal filter would and kill them?

Question: Any additional information you guys know can you tell me?

Ive never used a sponge filter with brine shrimp, just an air stone and water changes, i would also think the shrimp would get sucked into the filter.

Not sure what you are doing with the brine shrimp. I feed the baby brine shrimp to my mandarins daily. I use dish hatchery. It has a tiny cup with a built in net to pull them out for use.
