kalk and reactor???

So everything in my tank is doing well. The phosphate is down and the alk is about 12. BUT the pH is low, around 7.9 in am and 8 at night because of my Ca reactor. No nitrates, nitrites, or anything else.

Would anybody consider using Kalk? The calcium is about 320 or so.
But the test kit is old and I am wondering if it is really higher? Do they go bad?

Szymon Jankowski's tank of the month appears to have pH 7.8-8.1. Before my reactor, my tank had pH 8.2-8.3, but the corals are doing better now than before?

yes test kits do go bad. as for your pH, I would leave it.

as for the cal. I would get a double check on it first then add some supplement to bring it up.

also make sure your mag. is with in range also.
