kalk overdose!!!!

So while doing my weekly wc, I filled my kalk reactor up as I usually do. My ato must have kicked on before the solid kalk had time to settle. Stopped home for lunch today to see a pretty white tank! White all over the rocks and what little algae is in the tank. Alk is holding around 7. Ph is up to about 9 per the api test kit. I added about 35ml of vinegar to lower the pH by a little amount. Fed the fish and they all ate and swam fine. Corals are nice and open and full, maybe more than usual? Water is mixing for a partial wc tonight when I get home. Should I be worried or just kee an eye on everything. Idk if the water is cloudy or if most of the white was from the solids I cleared off of my glass

Should be fine, done it once myself. Suffered no loss.

Sounds like you got lucky, back when I was dosing kalk with an aqualifter and a digital timer I wasn't so lucky. Digital timer had a memory battery and when it went out, it had a stay on feature I was unaware of.

I've done that too.. corals weren't happy for a few days, but lived through it.
