Kalk Question

Currently I am dosing with 2part but was thinking about adding kalk to my topoff water. I manually topoff my tank around 3 times a day by opening a valve that runs from my topoff bucket to my sump. If I add kalk to my topoff bucket will I be adding to much kalk at a time to the tank. I usually lose about a gallon a day. Also will I have to change the amount of 2part I'm using once I start adding Kalk or will that stay the same. Thanks

How big is the tank?

Tank is a 75g

Adding kalk at 1/3 gal. at a clip might be a bit much, kalk has a very high ph around 12. Could you do a continuous drip from a different container other than from your top off?
You may have to adjust the 2 part a bit as well.
Do you have a ph probe?

Yeah I have a PH probe, I was thinking it might be to much at a time also just wasn't sure.

If you do not have another way to install a separate container try to match the evap rate with a continuous drip, but this may be difficult.
When adding kalk ph should jump no more than .02 I think.

I guess I'll look into setting up a seperate container with a slow drip.
