kalk reactor quetsion

I am setting up my tank finally and putting a kalk reactor on and never used one, how much kalk do i put in the bottom of it?

+/- 1/4 of the chamber should be a good start. How often do you want to refill it and how safe is it plumbed into your system is the rest of the question.

well its plumbed into the top-off, and refilling it isnt that big of a deal so whatever is best then

From experience, the first time you do a water change and forget to shut off the ATO you will wish you had less in there than more. If refilling it isnt a big deal, I'd say go less.
