Kalk Reactor

Has anyone ever easily made one from buying cast acrylic tubing and gluing it up yourself? It seems pretty simple, just need to go in on some 6'' cast tubing. I've never delved into acrylic fab. A Kalk reactor is just tubing, two end circles, two holes with uniseals and 1/2'' pvc and unions, a reliable pump, a timer, and a hole in the top. Then just hook up a Tom's diaphragm pump to my top off unit and put a hose in and out of the reactor. Right?

Anyone got any spare cast acrylic tubing?

The one that I'm currently using was home made. It works great the only problem that I have with it is getting it to seal. Every 3rd or 4th time opening it I have to replace the plumbing tape around the top seal. Besides that I works great.

Here is one I made out of clear pvc. Worked great, held 2 gallons of water. I have a piece of the pvc left just not sure how long. It might only be 16", but is 6 inch dia. I can check and let you know if you want.
