Hi All,
I've been thinking about getting a Deltec KM500 for my system and was curious if anyone has had experience with this, its pros and cons, etc. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

Why not get a reeftek kalk reactor for more than half the price. Works great. Just my suggestion.

The deltec is amazing. It was easy to set up, and is the best purchase I have made in a long time. I would recommend this product to anyone!

if it was ~$250 i'd strongly recommend it, but at $400 i'm having a hard time justifying mine. biggest con is it has to gravity drain into your sump. you cannot simply run a length of 1/4" from a remote location to wherever you'd want to drip. also, i feed mine with a litermeter and it seems it's a bit too forcefull at injecting water. it sometimes sends a plume of undissolved kalk straight up and out into the sump. there's a valve on it to slow it down, but peristaltics are such high pressure devices the valve just pops off before it reduces the flow any. i'm thinking of having the litermeter feed an elevated reservoir that gravity drains through the kalk stirrer.
