I am thinking of using this when I do my top offs. My question is will it mess with my PH? I think I have read it could mess with your PH. I would really like to try this stuff out, is there anything else I should know about it? Thanks guys

I think my PH is at 8.3 or 8.4 so this might be a bad idea right now. I will read the whole article tomarrow. Thanks for the reply =D

I read the article since my PH is on the high side is there anyway to lower to be able to use kalk? I am afraid if I mess it up I will kill everything.

you can use other things besides Kalk. some alk buffers will lower pH a tad then you will have to just add a cal supplement. I have found this out because I am in the opposite side of things with low pH and my alk supplement doesn't help raise the pH at all lol.

Dave, does your pH come down at all during the night? Most likely it does. You could dose overnight to help stabilize the drop in pH. Otherwise you could try Randy's diy 2-part suppliment. There are two recipies. One that raises the pH and one that lowers the pH slightly. Pick the one that suites your needs. ;)

It is aways good practice to use a method of alk/calcium supplimentation that is a balanced ratio. Otherwise you risk over/under dosing either parts. Kalk and 2-part deliver a balanced ratio of both. :)
