kalkwasser in ATO

Instead of using a drip style of dosing Id like to use my auto top off to dose kalk , my question is my ATO pump is a small 240GPH submersible pump that fills the sump about a half inch when the float switch kicks on , im worried that its to much to fast to use . Ive never used it before and I dont wanna fu## anything up . Thanks in advance .

I have a similar system and I have not had any trouble doing it this way.

I just used the good ole fashion manual float and it works fine for me. No electronics to go haywire.

Half an inch seems like quite a large level change. Can you tweak the float switch to keep the water level in a tighter range. I needed to fiddle with my old fashioned float switch and valve to get the levels stable.

If the level you refer to is in the return section of your sump it should be fine. How big is the DT?

How many gallons of water in the tank and how much top off is being added for each 1/2" fill?
